Unique Experience! We booked the Bromo and Ijen Tour (3 days/2 nights) with the hotels included (5,500,000 IDR for 2 people). It may seem expensive locally but we wanted to make the most of it without too much hassle. We were picked up by Denish's colleague called Pendot, a very nice and smiling driver. He drove us to mount Bromo and we stayed at Bromo Permai 1 Probolinggo Hotel which is an average hotel but quite good for the area (hot water and breakfast OK!). We were picked up by a jeep driver at 3AM to see the sunset on Mount Bromo (no guide there but it is OK as we only walked a few metres to see the landscape). Then we could walk up to the crater. Impressive! Many tourists though. But one of the best thing we have done in Indonesia. Then Pendot drove us to the Ijen area (6-7 hours), to the Mahkota Plengkung Hotel which again is average but OK, especially because you will not sleep much! At midnight we've seen Denish who was also very friendly! Pendot drove us to the bottom of Ijen Mount and we met a guide who gave us one torch light and 2 gas masks. We walked all 3 to the crater (about 1 hour 30 minutes if you walk fast). Then we went into the crater where we wore the masks; even with those, we were struggling because of the sulfur. There was a lot of smoke so we could not see much of the blue lights, but the atmosphere there was fantastic. Then we went back up to see the sunset on the blue lake and that was beautiful. When we went back to the car, Pendot drove us down to waterfalls and explained us many things about coffee plantations and trees nearby, cloves, local fruits, etc. After collecting our bags at the hotel, we left him at the ferry boat (only 5 minutes away from the hotel), he helped us and bought us the tickets to go to Bali. I definitely recommend Ijen Blue Tour, especially thanks to the kindness of Pendot 🙂

An amazing expérience..! Very nice trip with Denis and his team ! Nice driver with a good english and very beautiful spots at bromo and ijen ! By the way be carefull at Ijen cause oxygen masks are not always good, and bring your torch light because only 1 for 5 people is not enough.

Great Time with Denish and Ijen Blue Tour Background: We took a 3 day tour with Danesh and had a great time. We paid 6,250,000 IDR for 2 people. We arranged the tour on 3 days notice and they were responsive by email/whatsapp. It was a private tour and they provided a separate driver and guide. Accommodation and admission fees were included. Unlimited bottled water was provided. The SUV car was in excellent condition. Our pick-up was in Ubud and drop off in Surabaya. The only exclusions were lunch and dinner. We ask to only go to very local places to eat and it only costs 10-20k IDR per meal. Coffee/rubber plantation: This was very interesting for us (We really love to visit manufacturing plants). The guide giving us the private tour had excellent English. She was able to answer every question we had, and we asked A LOT of questions. Highlights of the tour include: watching the workers sorting the coffee beans by hand. Watching latex trees drip latex into containers and the watching workers processing the rubber with machines. Ijen Hike: We had a separate/local guide for the Ijen hike (starts at 2am) and he was also very good. He provided lots of information about the mining process, etc. Sunrise at the Ijen crater was spectacular. Note that there are lots of tourists at this attraction. Bromo: We watch sunrise over Bromo and this was also great. We've seen a lot of spectacular sunrises all over the world, and this ranks in the top 3. The hike to the crater rim and the view into the crater was also neat. Hotels: For both nights, we stayed in good hotels. We especially liked the hotel in Banyuwangi as it had a pool with free tea/coffee/cookies 😉 Driver: Our driver did not speak any English, but he was a very safe driver and very polite and friendly. Guide: We had a great time with Denish. We learned a lot about Indonesian culture and he was lots of fun. The tour is well run. This Ijen/Bromo trip was the highlight of our 2 weeks in Indonesia (we also went to Bali and Flores). Thanks Denish! Would definitely recommend Ijen Blue Tour to others.

amazing!!!!! it was an incredible, exciting and fun trip to ijen with good organization. our guide oki was great, very helpful, effortful and had much humor. the trip to the waterfall in the end was very special. the pick-up and dropp-off from our homestay near the ferry station was no problem and very good for us. it was a lot of fun and we would recommend it to everyone who would like to see an amazing phenomen like the blue fire!

Beeindruckende Erfahrung Eigentlich war ich bei Meyhesa und Denish zum Couchsurfing und wollte den Ijen auslassen. Sie haben mir von ihrer Tour erzählt, ohne sie aufzudrängen, und zeigten mit ein Video vom Blue Fire. Danach wollte ich dann doch hin, wann kann man schon mal in einen Vulkan und dann noch blaues Feuer sehen, außer auf Island? Sie machten mir auch einen super Angebot. Also ging es 12:30 Uhr los. Ich wurde mit dem Jeep abgeholt und es ging steil hinauf. Am Eingang hatte meine Gruppe einen Guide, der für den Wanderweg zwar nicht notwendig war, aber für den Krater und den Abstieg hinein zum Blue Fire. Weiterhin gab es noch Wasser und Gasmasken, für den Krater, da dort unten starke Schwefelgase austreten. Bis zum Krater waren es eigentlich nur 3 km aber die gingen verdammt steil auf, selbst für Geübte Wanderer kein Klacks. Endlich angekommen, ging’s dann in den Krater hinein und zum Blue Fire. Meine Gruppe hatte Glück und wir haben das Blue Fite wirklich stark und oft gesehen. Sehr sehr beeindruckend! Auch die Schwefelgase und die Arbeiter, die den Schwefel abtragen und dann tatsächlich 70kg auf einer Schulter hochtragen! Zum Abschluss haben wir dann noch den Sonnenaufgang gesehen, der dann den Blick auf den See frei gab! Alles in allem wine wirklich schöne Zour und man hat auch wirklich genug Zeit und wird nicht gehetzt. Da ich den Bromo auf eigene Faust besucht habe, war ich Angang abgeschreckt von einer gebuchten Tour mit Guide, aber es war viel besser als gedacht! Es lohnt sich wirklich und Meyhesa und Danish kümmern sich wirklich sehr zuvorkommend. Im Anschluss wollte ich direkt mit der Fähre nach Bali und sie haben mir sogar mich einen Fahrer zum Hafen organisiert. 🙂

UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE We had an amazing three-day tour to Bromo and Ijen. I was totally amazed at the beauty of these places and the huge support of the staff. Wunderbare Tour Eine Freundin und ich besprachen mit Denish die Tour. Er war sehr hilfsbereit und erzählte uns einiges über Java. Um Mitternacht startete die Tour mit Teo zum Ijen. Teo war sehr aufmerksam, nett und auf unser Wohlbefinden bedacht. Wir haben uns sehr Wohl gefühlt und würden die Tour sofort wieder bei Denish buchen.

Very great tour:) We did a morning trip to Ijen. Thanks to tourguide Denish that the trip turned out to be more than amazing ! He explained a lot about the volcano, local culture and also showed us a very nice waterfall (which was not even planned). Our experience could not have been better. Highly recommended! Hope to join the tour again one day.

Super! A faire absolument Nous avons réservé un tour privé et nous avons pas été déçu. Nous avons été récupérer à notre hébergement à minuit. Une heure de transport jusqu’au depart pour l’ascension (parking). Nous avons ensuite été pris en charge par un guide qui était super avec nous. Arrivée en haut du cratère deux heures plus tard. Nous sommes ensuite descendu en bas du cratère pour voir les « blue fires ». Remonter au sommet et là nous avons pu admirer le lever du soleil. Un moment incroyable, certainement le plus beau paysage que j’ai eu la chance d’admirer dans ma vie. Retour au parking à 7h. Je recommande, prix très correct.

Ascension Kawah Ijen Nous avons réservé à 22h00 pour commencer l’ascension à 00h00( très efficace!). Nous avons bénéficié d’un van privé qui est venu nous chercher devant notre hôtel, qui nous a emmené au parking pour le départ de’ lascension. La nous avons été pris en charge par un guide qui nous a emener au sommet du volcan Kawah Ijen. Le guide est resté toute l’ascension à nous côté et à était très gentil. Arrive en haut du volcan 3h00 du matin nous avons pu descendre au cratère voir très très près les fumerolles bleus. Ensuite nous somme remonté au sommet et là, la magie a commmence. Une vue impressionnante et saisissante ! Le guide nous a pris de nombreuses photos ( originale et très belle). Ensuite la redescende vers le parking, nourritures offerte à l’arrivée en bas. avons pris la route pour l’hôtel et en chemin nous avons pu nous arrêter voir des champs de caoutchouc et de café, et une cascade. Une expérience immanquable à java très bien organisé et adaptable selon vos besoin !
